I’m betting there’s more than a few of you out there who remember reading about the upcoming Lost Society album, Terror Hungry, earlier this week. In fact I’m sure all of you have April 4th, the albums release date, already marked on your calendars. After all anticipation for Terror Hungry is high, I’ll go as far as saying it’s perhaps one of the most anticipated thrash albums of 2014.
Lost Society have already revealed a fair amount of details regarding Terror Hungry, including the albums release dates (April 1st for North America and April 4th for Europe) as well as the albums track listing. Personally I thought that would be all that we would hear regarding the album for at least another month however I’m happy to announce I was wrong!
Just yesterday Lost Society revealed that Terror Hungry was produced by Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump Studios. As if announcing one of the most anticipated albums of 2014 was produced by a renowned producer at a renowned recording studio wasn’t enough, the band also revealed the art work for Terror Hungry, which was created by Jan Meininghaus.
Regarding the albums cover Meininghaus had this to say:
“I was asked to do Lost Society’s new album cover and first of all, I had to face the fact that I had to follow their debut album’s art that was created by the legendary Ed Repka; one of the true hereos of my own thrash metal days. So i decided to go a different way and create the band’s cover idea in a much darker and less cartoony mood than the debut. Lost Society’s musical style and their approach to metal is very 80’s bay area to me, so I thought it might be fun to paint something that might have been on one of those record covers these days. I listend to Lost Society and my old Exodus, Testament and Forbidden vinyls and it was a blast to come up with Terror Hungry artwork!”

Awesome, right? Just one question. Is it April yet?
