A few months back Kasper from Nuclear Omnicide turned my onto a band from his native Finland by the name of Lost Society. To say I was impressed with what I heard would be an understatement. The band absolutely blew me away with their three track self titled debut EP and the follow up Trash All Over You EP was nothing short of killer as well.
I’m not the only one who was impressed by what they heard from Lost Society. In addition to amassing a huge following Lost Society also caught the eye of metal giant Nuclear Blast Records who signed the band to their phenomenal label (which includes thrash giants Exodus, Testament, Kreator, Destruction and Death Angel) this past October.
As if one of my favorite underground thrash bands getting signed to a huge label didn’t have me excited enough Lost Society has recently revealed the name of their debut full length, the artwork for the album and a release date! Oh did I forget the mention Lost Society has also released a track off the album for free download? Because they totally did!
Fast Loud Death will be unleashed upon the masses on March 15th via Nuclear Blast Records and judging from the press release this is going to be an “old-school oriented album that will leave a lasting impression.” After listening to the bands newly released (or should I say re-recorded) track “Trash All Over You” the band has certainly delivered on their promise. Addicting riffs made for head banging and some damn good shredding make this track hard to listen to just once and have put Fast Loud Death on my list of “Most Anticipated Albums of 2013.”
