Well this is certainly exciting news if you’re an Exumer fan. The German thrash power house has just been confirmed for this years Rock Hard Festival set to take place on September 15th in Milan, Italy. Also appearing on the bill are Danish thrash legends Artillery, who Exumer just finished touring South America with on the “South American Damnation” tour. Well, it looks like the tour was such a huge success that the two bands have decided to bring the package to Europe thereby pushing Exumer’s North American tour plans back until Spring of 2013. You can read a statement from the bands vocalist Mem regarding Exumer’s touring plans below:
“Our South American Damnation tour was such a success for both bands, us and Artillery, that we did not hesitate to ask our management to replicate the package for Europe.
This means that we have to put our North American dates, which were planned for the fall, on hold until Spring 2013. There were no alternate time frames to bring both bands back out on the road and we didn’t want to risk losing the opportunity altogether to bring the package to Europe.”
This is great news if you’re a European metal head because an absolutely killer tour is coming your way soon. To me this is equally great news for North American thrashers because I don’t think I’m the person out there that had no idea Exumer were even planning on touring North America. With this statement the band confirms their intentions to do just that, North American fans will just have to wait a little longer.
Stay tuned for more details as they emerge regarding Exumer’s future touring plans and if you haven’t done so already be sure to get your hands on Exumer’s new album Fire & Damnation which was released through Metal Blade Records earlier this year at this location!
