Apathy is a great thrash band from New Jersey who I’ve seen a few times. The first was at the Starland Ballroom in New Jersey at the Overkill 25th Anniversary tour. The second was at the Loft in Poughkeepsie New York alongside Skull Hammer, Lich King and Blood Feast. I enjoyed both performances and after the second show I bought the band’s debut album entitled “A Decade of Violence.” I literally listened to this album for two weeks straight and I still play it all the time, it just never gets old. I recently discovered the band is working on a new album that is due out the summer of 2012 and that the band is also booking live shows again. I’m looking forward to both of these things, I would love to see these guys live again and I’m especially looking forward to a new album. The new album will be entitled “Hell Is All We Have” and as previously stated it is due out in the summer of 2012. In the meantime however to hold their fans over until the full length release the band is also releasing  an EP that is due out on February 10th entitled “Factory Sessions.” The EP will feature live and rare tracks that were recorded prior to the release of “A Decade of Violence.”
This is all great news; in fact it has made my day. Go give Apathy a listen and I assure you it will make yours. You can purchase the bands album and merchandise here. So check them out and as always make sure you tell your friends about these Jersey thrashers who truly kick ass!
