REVIEW: Degradation: Juggernaut

I’ve been listening to this band Degradation lately; they were brought to my attention by a band member from Testimony. I gotta say I’m enjoying what I hear from these guys. Degradation has an old school vibe but they keep things pretty modern and original. These Chicago thrashers currently have a full length album out entitled “Juggernaut” and I think it’s a great album. “Juggernaut” features some really nice riffs with some variations thrown in every now and then that keep things interesting. Good clean, powerful vocals with the occasional death metal backing vocal provide an enjoyable listening experience that will not bore you. Tracks like “Executioner…Slayer of the Light” and “Degradation” show just how intense this band is capable of being. While the track “Rise to Fall” features a kick ass drum intro which is a perfect example of how the band mixes things up. All the tracks on this album will have your voice hoarse and the taste of blood in your mouth from screaming the lyrics. This album is definitely worth buying and currently the band has their album for sale on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby as well as their BigCartel site. I’m really looking forward to what the future has in store for this up and coming band and I can’t wait to hear more.

Overall: 8/10
